Vocal Coach and Worship Leader Coach for Women in Worship

For 23 years, I’ve been in Worship Ministry.

First, as a new Christian at 16 years old (and quite “by accident!”). Then in my early 20’s, I was a high capacity volunteer and contracted singer, musician, and leader for different churches and ministries. Next, I was a staffed Worship Associate, Worship Leader, and then Worship Director for nearly a decade. And after the birth of my first son, I returned to supporting various churches and teams who were in need of Worship Leadership in the Charlotte, NC area.

Scattered in there were all kinds of other things: a brief regional tour, time spent in Nashville, recording my own record and EPs, recording projects with friends and churches, winning a songwriting award, being on the radio, performing on tv, and getting to sing and lead worship for groups of 10 - 10,000.

It’s been quite a ride so far!

When I look back, it’s almost unbelievable how the Lord has directed my steps - a girl who grew up in poverty in a teeny tiny town in Illinois and dreamed of being a Grammy-winning Country or Pop singer - to first and foremost call me to Himself, and then to watch Him use what He’s given me in all the ways He has, and to meet, connect with, and serve the people and churches that I have.

His goodness never ceases to amaze me, and His ways are always better.

In the last several years, I've focused my coaching efforts on Vocal Coaching for Worship Leaders and Worship Singers, passing on what I've learned about vocal stewardship and building a strong vocal foundation. It's been incredible getting to know and serve Worship vocalists across the globe!

But I've also carried the recognition that I have more to offer. And for years, I didn’t feel like I was “enough” to share those other parts of my more than two decades worth of experience, leadership, and knowledge base. But the Lord has really been doing a number on my heart and mind, reminding me that I will never be enough, and He hasn’t asked me to be. Because

HE is enough.

What He’s called me (and us) to do is trust and obey and worship Him and follow His lead.

And recently He’s been leading me to grow and stretch, to teach and support specifically other women in worship ministry looking for a fellow woman of worship who has walked the road, faced the fears, wrestled with identity, wrestled with idolatry, fought the Spiritual warfare, dealt with the criticisms and condescending attitudes, questioned everything...and by the grace of God has continued faithfully walking forward because she knows the Lord is guiding and providing.

It has never been an “easy” journey.

But my goodness, it has been an interesting one! Full of joys and sorrows, lessons learned the hard way, and so many memories and relationships that are absolute gifts to me.

Vocal Coaching for Worship Leaders and Worship Singers will continue to be a cornerstone of what I offer. And now I'm excited to let you know about some of the additional Worship Leader and Worship Ministry areas I’ll be able to support you in!

These areas include, but are not limited to:

  1. Musicality - your own musical skills and understanding for a worship context (dynamics, Nashville numbers, leading a band, etc)

  2. Worship Team Development - supporting you with knowledge and resources for helping you develop the members of your worship team

  3. Worship Planning - a partner for setlist brainstorming, worship service planning, flow, transitions, help with crafting special services like Christmas, Easter, etc.

  4. Songwriting - fundamentals and some best practices of writing songs for your local church

  5. On Stage Presence and Leadership - working through spoken leadership moments, managing on stage nerves, understanding different physical postures of worship, etc

  6. Biblical Worship Foundations - diving into Biblical principles that guide our worship (both on AND off the stage)

  7. Mindset and Rhythms - deeper dive into some of the beliefs, insecurities, and routines that prevent us from stepping fully into our assignments as worshippers and worship leaders

All of the details are still unfolding and coming together as I'm praying and working through each level of this expansion. I'm trusting the Lord every step of the way, and so excited for this next season of growth!
